The Center for Academic Support and Student Success works collaboratively with each Division, as well as Student Life, to ensure a student’s growth, support, and success. The Center functions at the intersection of Academic Affairs, Student Engagement, Enrollment Management, and Success. As a result, students can engage in traditional methods of academic support such as tutoring and mentoring, while experiencing co-curricular activities beyond the traditional scope of academic support.

We provide quality academic advising, free tutoring, mentoring, and a host of other services. Our goal is to assist our students with choices of major, career paths, and academic advancement.

If you are a First Year student at Wilberforce University with < 30 credit hours passed, and/or are an Undeclared major, then your Academic Advisor are within CASSS. Please see Ms. Hollinger, Mr. Ford, Dr. Tippins or Mr. Reeves for assistance.

If you have declared a major, please contact your College Dean for assistance from your Faculty Advisor.

The Center promotes the achievement of students in basic skills development and has significant involvement in the academic support and orientation of first-year students.

The Wilberforce First-Year Experience motivates students to excellence and their fullest potential. The First-Year Experience connects real life to the classroom to ensure student achievement through workforce development, curricular support, and student-centric strategic activities.

The study abroad program at Wilberforce University allows students to discover the world from a global perspective.

The Center for Academic Support and Student Success is located in the Learning Resource Center Complex.
